15 Players named to District 9 Honor Roll

CLARION – Brockway’s Alec Shaffer-Doan is the Explore Your Town D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for Week Two of the 2013 season after tying for the second most touchdown passes in a game in District 9 history.

Alec Shaffer-Doan – Brockway: 35 of 56, 498 yards, 7 touchdowns, 1 interception; threw game-tying touchdown with 51 seconds left; tied for second most touchdown passes in a game in D9 history; 10 carries, 55 yards – Brockway 55, Otto-Eldred 54, overtime

Shaffer-Doane was 35 of 56 for 498 yards, the seven touchdowns and one interception while also rushing 10 times for 55 yards in Brockway’s 55-54 overtime win at Otto-Eldred Friday night. Shaffer-Doan, who tossed six first-half touchdowns, engineered a game-tying drive at the end of regulation that culminated with a touchdown pass with 51 seconds left.

Joining Shaffer-Doan in being honored this week are 15 players on the Explore Your Town D9Sports.com Honor Roll.
