DA: Crime Stoppers Offering Reward for Information about Bob’s Army & Navy Burglary

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a burglary and firearms theft at the Bob’s Army & Navy Store, District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced today.

Shaw stated that at approximately 11:54 p.m. Sunday, Clearfield Borough police were dispatched to the Bob’s Army & Navy Store, located at 229 E. Market St., in downtown Clearfield, for a reported commercial burglary alarm. Upon arrival at the scene, police immediately noticed that the right front glass door of the store had been smashed out.

After securing the location, police observed damage to the interior of the building, including a smashed display case, stated Shaw. He stated that store employees estimated that several firearms had been stolen; however, an inventory will be conducted in order to determine the exact loss.

Video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed by law enforcement.

Shaw stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the burglary and theft. He also stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the burglary.
