District 2 includes Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin, and Potter counties. Once this work is complete, drivers will have better visibility of center lines and edge lines on a variety of state routes.

Crews began the marker placement on Route 36 in Clearfield County, near the Cambria County line and are working to northwest of Mahaffey. Work this week will also include Route 286 and Route 219 from the Indiana County line to Luthersburg.

The contractor will be working in Clearfield County through the rest of July on:

This is a moving operation, with flaggers enforcing an alternating traffic pattern. Motorists can expect short travel delays. Crews will be working in Centre County beginning in August and PennDOT will issue periodic updates as work progresses.

Work is expected to last until mid-October. Concrete Coring Company Inc. of Butler is the contractor for this $310,000 job. All work is weather dependent. Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
