State Police: Damages from Colonial Courtyard Fire Exceed $3 Million

CLEARFIELD – A fire engulfed Colonial Courtyard, an assisted living facility, at approximately 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, and damage estimates have exceeded $3 million, according to the state police at Clearfield.

The cause of the fire hasn’t yet been determined and remains under investigation at this time. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) provided further assistance with the investigation, state police said.

Approximately 60 residents and seven employees were evacuated from the facility. They were not injured as a result of the fire, state police said. Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
