CLEARFIELD – A power interruption is expected this week as work to replace a bridge on Route 2012 (Douglas Road/Old Station Road) in Clearfield County continues.
Electrical power will be interrupted on June 26 from approximately 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The power interruption is necessary, so that a large crane can lower the new concrete box culvert into place while working near power lines. Power for residences and businesses in the immediate area may be affected.
A detour has been in place on this project since June 17. The detour uses Routes 729, 3022 (Ansonville Road), and 3007 (Douglas Road). PennDOT’s work schedule currently calls for the closure to last through early September. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
Overall work includes the placement of a new box culvert, roadway paving, guide rail updates and drainage improvements. M & B Services of Clarion is the contractor on this $350,000 project. Drivers are reminded to follow official detour signs, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
