CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Count Career & Technology Center recently hosted their annual Cooperative Education Banquet.

A total of 14 students and their employers were recognized, which included: Tanner Antonuk, Pro-Formance Fuel Injection; Adam Benamati, McDonalds; Seth Bloom, Goodman’s Foodliner; Geri Bressler, Subway; Alyssa Brooks, Texas Roadhouse; Tim Gormont, Clearfield Tire; Morgan Hynd, County Market; Clarissa Luzier, Sheetz; Dustin Moskel, Reich Drill; Laci Passmore, Sids Super Submarines; Shelby Spencer, Tractor Supply; Marcus Stephenson, Timberland Federal Credit Union; Samantha Test, Happy Events Photography; and Tyler Wallace, Dotts Motors.

“Our employers are the key element in educating our students in the world of work. They have made a difference in a young person’s life and I sincerely thank each one of them for all the effort and time they have put into training the student employees this year,” said Cooperative Education Coordinator, Lauren Hopkins.

There are two types of cooperative education offered at the CCCTC.  The first is Capstone where students with one year of education in a program at the school get a job in that trade area.

The other is Diversified Occupations.  These students have no prior education at the career center and in their senior year of school, they work in an area of their choosing for their educational plan.

At the banquet, Dustin Moskel, Philipsburg-Osceola, was awarded the Outstanding Capstone Student of the Year. He is a student in the Welding program at CCCTC.   Samantha Test, Curwensville, earned the Outstanding Diversified Occupations Student of the Year award.
