MORRIS TOWNSHIP – The Philipsburg-based state police are investigating an incident of simple assault that occurred at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at Sutton’s Bar in Morris Township.
According to the police report, a 51-year-old Philipsburg man was allegedly assaulted by an unknown Caucasian man who was in his middle to late 20’s. The man struck the victim in the head with a closed fist and continued striking him until he fell to the floor.
In addition, the victim told police the man began kicking him in the ribs while he was on the floor. The victim told police this caused multiple injuries.
