Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend Waives Hearing

CLEARFIELD – A 48-year-old Mahaffey woman who has been accused of stabbing her boyfriend waived her right to a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

Robin Elizabeth Srock, 48, of Mahaffey is facing charges of aggravated assault; simple assault; recklessly endangering another person; disorderly conduct; and harassment. Her bail has been set at $100,000 monetary.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 31, 2012, the Punxsutawney-based state police were dispatched to an alleged stabbing. Upon arrival state police spoke with the victim, a Mahaffey man, who related he’d been dating the defendant.

He said he and Srock had engaged in a verbal altercation. He said she followed him into the kitchen, where she allegedly grabbed a knife and “came after him.” He said Srock stabbed him two times in the left, upper chest area. He was transported to the Altoona Trauma Center for treatment.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, four witnesses told state police they observed Srock and the victim engage in the verbal altercation. Then, they said Srock grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest area.

State police said physical evidence included an approximately 13.5-inch by 2.5-inch kitchen knife. The knife had blood on it, and it was lying by the back door. Also, state police observed blood on the kitchen floor, and the victim had two wounds in his left, upper chest area.

Srock told state police she was at the Mahaffey residence and had only consumed “iced tea.” She alleged that someone “spiked” her drink, which caused her to start “feeling funny” and to drink two glasses of wine. She then alleged that someone had “spiked” her wine.

The defendant said at some point, someone grabbed her by the throat area, and her head was bounced off the floor. She said “people just jumped on her,” and she grabbed the knife and stabbed the victim.

Srock said someone told her to hurry up and leave, because “the cops are coming.” She said she was running out the back door, while someone was handing her cellular phone to her. She left.
