Election Board: Photo ID Not Required to Vote

The Clearfield County Election Board would like to remind county voters that they will not have to present government-issued photo identification Tuesday in order to vote in the General Election.

All persons appearing at their polling places will be asked to show photo ID as a trial run for next year’s election. They will be permitted to vote whether or not they can produce that ID, as long as they are registered and meet all other normal voting requirements.

The new Pennsylvania voter ID requirements will not be enforced until Jan. 1, 2013, at the earliest.
