Wolf Run Road Bridge to Open Tuesday

CLEARFIELD – PennDOT expects to open a Clearfield County bridge to traffic Tuesday. The state-owned bridge on Wolf Run Road, Township Route 605, in Lawrence Township has been closed since August when crews began a bridge deck replacement project.

The completion of the upgrades removes the bridge from Clearfield County’s list of structurally deficient bridges. The bridge’s superstructure, including a new concrete deck and concrete beams, was replaced during the project.

When the bridge is opened to traffic next week, the detour that had been in place for the duration of the project will be lifted. PennDOT will complete a bridge inspection next week, and weight limit postings could be removed by late-November.

The bridge is located about one-tenth of a mile from the Wolf Run Road intersection with state Route 879. The structure carries about 135 vehicles per day over Wolf Run.
