CURWENSVILLE — The Curwensville Lady Tide finally ended their losing streak at five Thursday night when they beat Brookville in a 4-game match at Patton Hall by the scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-22, 25-13.
Head coach Sandy Bailor was happy and relieved to finally notch a win again, “I was very happy with the effort that the girls displayed on the court tonight. They have been working really hard in the gym and have kept their heads up. It’s nice to see their effort pay off in a win. We had some strong serving tonight – freshman Shauna Guy came in and had 14 straight service points in the fourth set. We will continue to practice hard and are hoping to finish our regular season on a strong note.”
The junior varsity team, however, was handed their second loss of the season 25-20, 24-26, 11-15 to drop to 9-2.
The Lady Tide (3-8) will be back in action over the weekend when they travel to compete in the Kane tourney, then will travel to Mo Valley on Monday October 15 to face the Damsels.
