MADISON, N.J. — Senior wide receiver Jarrin Campman (Clearfield) turned in a scintillating performance that was highlighted by three touchdowns as Lycoming (5-1) blitzed Fairleigh-Dickinson University-Florham 42-7 Saturday to retain its share of the Middle Atlantic Conference lead with Widener at 5-0.
A partisan FDU-Florham crowd of 3,682 at Robert T. Shields Field saw Campman grab six passes for 73 yards and two scores and return three punts for a 136 yards and one TD.
Campman’s 59-yard runback to paydirt in the fourth quarter boosted his average to 45.3 yards for the day and earned him MAC Special Teams Player of the Week laurels.
After pulling in a 10-yard TD pass from sophomore quarterback Tyler Jenny (Coalport/Glendale H.S.) that put Lycoming on top 14-0 in the first period, Campman set up two more Warrior scores with punt returns of 31 and 46 yards in the second quarter.
Midway through the third period, Jenny spotted Campman on a fly pattern for a his fourth TD pass of the game, a 34-yarder.
Jenny was 17-for-26, a school-record fifth consecutive game with a completion percentage of 60 or better, for 194 yards and also scored on a one-yard sneak. He was rewarded with a spot on the MAC Week 6 Honor Roll.
Warrior freshman offensive lineman Corey Knepp (Bigler/Clearfield Area H.S.) saw action for the first time.
Campman has reached the end zone in all of Lycoming’s wins, three with multiple scores, to lead the team with 54 points as well as receptions (26) and receiving yards (335). In the MAC, he is third in scoring, seventh in receptions with 4.3 per game and eighth in receiving yards with 55.8 per game.
He also ranks among the NCAA Division III leaders in scoring and punt return yardage averages.
Jenny’s passing stats show 90 completions in 141 attempts for 949 yards and 11 TDs.

GAMBIER, Ohio — Senior corner back David Kalgren (Curwensville) was involved in nine tackles, including five solo stops, and returned one kickoff 17 yards for Oberlin (1-4, 0-3) in a 30-13 North Coast Athletic Conference loss to host Kenyon (3-2, 2-0) in front of 5,200 fans at McBride Field Saturday.
Kalgren has accumulated 24 tackles, including 18 solo hits, and intercepted four passes with 133 return yards and two touchdowns and broken up four aerials.
He is the NCAC co-leader in interceptions and is tied for eighth in NCAA Division III.
Kalgren has a 12-yard average for nine punt returns and a 16-yard average for five kickoff runbacks.

INDIANA — Redshirt freshman safety Derek Morgan (Clearfield) came off the bench to lead Slippery Rock (2-4) in solo stops with six and also had two assists for a career-high eight tackles, but The Rock defense couldn’t slow down No. 22-ranked Indiana (5-1) as the Crimson Hawks delighted the 3,912 Homecoming fans with a 33-19 victory at Miller Stadium Saturday.
Freshman running back Alex Holland (Curwensville) assisted on one special teams tackle for Indiana, which is 2-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division.
Morgan has one start in six games with 17 tackles, including 10 solo stops.
Holland rushed 22 times for 110 yards and scored three touchdowns in two of his five appearances.

ERIE — Freshman running back Beau Swales (Clearfield) carried 10 times for 20 yards and redshirt junior wide receiver Jesse Hoover (Curwensville) caught a team-high three passes for 27 yards as Lock Haven (0-6, 0-3) gave Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference co-leader Mercyhurst (5-1, 3-0) a battle before falling 19-10 in front of 575 fans at Tullio Field Saturday.
Redshirt freshman Kyle Barrett (Curwensville) made his third start at offensive tackle for the Bald Eagles, whose NCAA Division II-record losing streak stands at 48 games.
Swales has appeared in all six games with 48 yards on 23 rushes and two yards on one pass reception in six games.
Hoover, who has five starts in six games, is third in receptions with nine and fourth in receiving yards with 105 and has one of only two touchdown catches.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Senior placekicker Parker Herrington (Clearfield) ran his string of consecutive extra points to 47 with three conversions but was wide left on two field goal tries in Air Force Academy’s 28-21 overtime loss to Navy at Falcon Field Saturday morning.
He was off target on a 51-yard field goal attempt as time expired in the fourth quarter after the Middies called a pair of timeouts.
A crowd of 38,927 turned out for the first Commander-in-Chief Trophy match-up that left both teams at 2-3.
The Falcons still can retain the CIC Trophy for the third year in a row if they beat Army on Nov. 3 and Army topples Navy on Dec. 8.
Herrington has booted 20 PATs and one field goal this season.

CLARION — Freshman center Eric White (Clearfield) was on Memorial Field for five punts and two extra points as the Clarion (3-3) longsnapper in a 41-22 loss to No. 16-ranked California (5-1) in front of 5,505 Homecoming Game fans Saturday.
A foot injury kept redshirt senior Nate Sipes (Curwensville) out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division game.
He still leads the Golden Eagles, 1-2 in the PSAC-West, with 27 tackle assists and is second in total stops with 38.
