ST. MARYS — The Curwensville Lady Tide volleyball team saw their current losing streak reach five games on Monday night when they were beaten in four sets by the host Lady Dutch of St. Marys 25-23, 18-25, 18-25, 18-25.
The loss drops Curwensville to 2-8 for the year after a 2-3 start to the season.
The junior varsity, though, continued their winning ways by winning in three games 16-25, 25-23, 16-14 to improve to 9-1 on the year.
Lady Tide head coach Sandy Bailor is still upbeat, “We came out strong tonight. The first game was a good solid game for us …the next three games we were in some long volleys but couldn’t finish to get the point. Despite the loss I did see some positive things out of the girls – we have to stay focused, keep our heads up and keep working hard.”
Lady Tide Stat Leaders:
