CLEARFIELD — Adam Jury (Class of 2007) drove in four runs with a home run and a double and Brandon Billotte (1998) rapped three singles to lead the Red Team past the Black Team 13-8 in the eighth annual Clearfield Area High School Bison Baseball Alumni Game at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field Saturday afternoon.
Thomas Yeager (2002) added a double for the winners.
Todd Hainsey (1992) doubled and singled and losing pitcher Trey Wallace (2006) doubled, and they had a pair of RBIs apiece for the Black Team.
Jury was named the under-4o Most Valuable Player while winning hurler Scott Dunlap (1981) was selected as the 40-and-over MVP.
Gold Glove Award recipients were Kevin Lykens (1995) for the “youngsters” and Jeff Norris (1976) for the “oldtimers.”
The Home Run Derby titles went to Jury, under 40, and Scott Dunlap, 40-and-over.
Merrill Dunlap (1957) was honored with a special award presented by the Clearfield Baseball Association for his loyalty and support of Clearfield baseball as well as making his eighth consecutive appearance on the diamond.
CAHS head coach Sid Lansberry noted Saturday, Sept. 14, is the date for the 2013 game.
