CLEARFIELD – Due to the continued response from participants and customers who have enjoyed previous year’s CNB Bank wall calendars, the 2013 CNB Bank wall calendars will again feature local photos of Pennsylvania, this year with a focus on Pennsylvania wildlife.  Local residents, whether they are beginner, amateur or professional photographers, are encouraged to submit one or two of their photos via the web site at www.bankcnb.com.  Photos can be submitted through Aug. 10.

On Aug. 16, 13 winners, including a Best of Show, and 24 honorable mentions will be selected and their photos will then be forwarded to be laid out and printed in the Bank’s 2013 wall calendars, which will be distributed to customers beginning in November.  The winners will be announced Aug. 17.

The winner’s will be selected by photographer, Kevin M. Mills, who provided the entire collection of Pennsylvania photographs featured in the Bank’s inaugural wall calendar in 2010. Mills will also select one ‘Best of Show’ to be featured on the front cover. Mills began taking photographs and processing film at age 12 and never quit.  Upon graduation from high school, he began teaching photography classes and learned the intricacies under the tutelage of a professional photographer in Colorado.  He currently teaches photography at the Huntingdon Vo-Tech School and prefers to photograph nature, still life, portraiture, architecture and weddings.

CNB initiated this contest to provide an avenue to feature local talent and the communities in which the Bank serves through the eyes of residents as they’ve captured with their camera.

“By asking for scenes of Western Pennsylvania from local photographers for our 2011 and 2012 wall calendars, we received fantastic entries of various scenes.”  Joe Bower, president & CEO of CNB Bank continued by saying, “By featuring Pennsylvania wildlife for the 2013 calendar, we hope to provide a calendar of rare photos to our customers.  We can’t wait to see this year’s entries.”

CNB is now accepting photo submissions on the Web site.  Each entrant can submit up to two photos.  For details on the contest and photo requirements, visit online and click on the calendar contest banner on the right hand side.

CNB would like to encourage everyone to participate and wish all photographers, beginner to professional, the best of luck!
