Police Report: LTPD

— Police received a report of a hit and run that occurred at a residence on River Road where a garbage truck struck a stone wall of a residence.
— Police received a report of theft from a motor vehicle that was parked at a business on Washington Avenue in Hyde.
— Police responded to a false alarm at the Armory on Coal Hill Road.
— Police received a report of a scam from a resident where the resident received a letter stating they have won the lottery and were to cash an enclosed check to cover the cost of fees associated with the winnings.
— Police are investigating an act of trespass at the WalMart Supercenter. Charges are pending against a known individual.
— Police were dispatched to Edgewood Apartments to investigate a suspicious woman. It was determined that the woman was looking for someone.
— Police were called to Fun Central for a minor two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
— Police were called to the area of Coal Hill Road to check the welfare of a man and a child. Police determined everything to be fine.
— Police served a warrant on a man at WalMart. The man was wanted for a felony retail theft and was taken into custody without further incident.
— Police served an emergency protection from abuse order on a man at his place of employment.
— Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle along SR 322.
— Police were called for a possible theft of a rifle. Upon investigation is was determined that the claim was unfounded.
— Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hotel Heights. The vehicle was parked behind a business with the motor running. Upon investigation it was found that the driver was traveling through the area and had pulled over to rest after having a meal.
— Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief on Franks Lane.
— Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a local motel. A husband and wife caused a disturbance in the hotel bard that continued back in their room. Neither party was willing to press charges.
