CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Feb. 13, 2012.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Brenda Sue Boyer, age 47, of Laura Street, Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Boyer is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call on Feb. 2, 2012.
On April 28, 2010, Trooper Adam Gibson of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Boyer with: 1) driving under the influence, M; 2) investigation by police offficers, S; and 3) restraint systems, S.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Gibson states that in April 2010 while on routine patrol, troopers observed a vehicle traveling extremely slow through a gated area. Upon making contact with the driver, Gibson detected signs of impairment and requested that Boyer perform field sobriety tests. After administering the field sobriety tests, Boyer was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 26, 2010, at which time all charges were held for Court. On Feb. 2, 2012, Boyer failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
