Curwensville started out hanging with Kane, only trailing 21-12 after the first period was recorded.
It was the next three periods that did in the Lady Tide, as they were outscored 51-17 the rest of the way in the loss that leaves Curwensville with a 7-13 mark on the 2011-12 campaign.
Savannah Strickland paced the Lady Tide with nine points, while Kaila Jamerson netted a game high 22 for the Lady Wolves who end their regular season at 17-5.
Lady Tide head coach Rusty McCracken said after the loss, “We did play very well in the first half but their height and quickness just wore us down in the second half. Kane is a big, physical, good team as their record indicates.”
Kane won the junior varsity contest over the Lady Tide by a score of 36-21.
The Lady Tide travel to Clearfield Monday night to battle the Lady Bisons with the JV game set to start at 6 pm and the varsity to immediately follow.
Clearfield dumped Curwensville on December 28, 57-38, on the home court of the Lady Tide.
