- On Sunday, someone removed 48 hats from a Clearfield woman’s vehicle whileit was parked at Hanger 453 in Pike Township. The value is estimated at $700. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
- Someone entered a Frenchville woman’s vehicle while it was parked at her residence on Bald Hill Road and removed her wallet. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
- A Smithburg, MD man was traveling east on Interstate 80 and exiting at the 111 exit. As he was rounding the curve off the ramp, he lost control of his vehicle due to traveling too fast for road conditions. He left the berm and and struck a ditch. He was uninjured and was wearing a seat belt.
- A vehicle operated by a Westfield, NJ man was traveling on I-80. He was in the left lane and was attempting to return to the right lane when he lost control due to the icy road conditions. He struck the guide rails along the right berm. He then traveled across both lanes of traffic and struck the guide rails on the left side of the road. He drifted back into the roadway and struck a vehicle driven by a Union City man. All involved were wearing seat belts and were uninjured.
- A Palos Hills, IL man’s vehicle was disabled and blocking the road due to a previous accident on Intestate 80 in Lawrence Township. A 51-year-old driver was unable to avoid the first vehicle, and struck the trailer, causing his vehicle to go off of the road and overturn. The 51-year-old was taken to Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
- Somebody pumped $52 in gasoline at Snappy’s in Houtzdale and fled scene without paying. The vehicle is described as a white Ford sedan with a spotlight.
