JOHNSONBURG — The Curwensville Golden Tide boys basketball team had the hard task of making the trip to Johnsonburg to take on the one-loss Rams on Tuesday night.
That one loss for Johnsonburg came in a holiday tournament, but since scored no less than 60 points in the games since. That streak continued on Tuesday night as the Rams dominated the Golden Tide to a final score of 60-23.
Curwensville was held to just 12 points in the first half, no points in the third, and it’s final 11 coming in the fourth quarter. Johnsonburg had two players hit double-digits in scoring with Quinn Luhr having 16 points and Frank Kocjancic adding another 10. Luhr also added another nine rebounds while Cole Peterson added nine assists in the contest.
The Tide (1-7) will have a chance to rebound and go for their second win on the season as they host Harmony on Friday night at Patton Hall. Tip off for the contest will be at 6 p.m. for the JV contest, and the varsity contest will follow afterward.
