Clearly negotiation and compromise have been replaced by stone walling, politics and political agenda’s. The super committee has only served to verify the real gridlock in Washington DC and total inability of the elected officials to do the business of this country. If a group of 12 cannot come to an agreement on how to solve the budget problems how in the world will the House and Senate ever come up with anything productive. This must end! If you are looking for the elected officials to make this changes you will never see it under the current system! When political party agendas’, lobbyist, unions and special interest control the outcome of every piece of legislation to favor their group. We as everyday citizens stand no chance of seeing what is really best for people.
You can not believe that one side or the other has all the answers, they don’t. True negotiation and compromise on both sides is the only way to see positive change. Of course neither will get everything they want. This country is made up of little steps not giant leaps. Caution as move in any directions is always advisable. It much easier to correct a small step than a giant leap! Both sides have to willing to take steps to correct the stand still. Standing still and doing nothing will lead to no where! It is a shame the elected officials are taking us nowhere fast. Whatever is done we must assure that the right and liberties of the people are protected.
