Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

– A two-vehicle accident reportedly occurred at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Lochlomond Road at Medical Center Drive in Rush Township, Centre County. An 80-year-old Ginter man was attempting to pull out from Medical Center Drive and onto Lochlomond Road when he pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Smithmill woman. The woman’s vehicle was traveling east on Lochlomond Road when it impacted the driver’s side door area of the man’s vehicle.

The woman related to police that she’d been traveling faster than the posted speed limit at the time of the accident. A passenger of the man’s vehicle, Barbara Ann Kline, 77, of Ginter was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center with minor injuries. The Hope Fire Company assisted at the scene as well as towing companies. The man and his passenger were wearing safety belts at the time of the accident. The woman reported that she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. The man will be cited for stop signs and yield signs, while the woman will be cited for driving at safe speed and restraint systems. All charges will be filed through the district court.

– An incident of loitering and prowling reportedly occurred at 1:55 a.m. Thursday along South Eagle Valley Road in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 37-year-old Boalsburg man told police that he observed a flashlight shining in a window. The victim said that when he attempted to make contact, the person fled the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.

– An incident of public drunkenness reportedly occurred at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday along Presqueisle Street and 13th Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A Philipsburg man was observed staggering and found to be intoxicated.
