CURWENSVILLE — After starting the season winning four out of five matches, the Curwensville Lady Tide have hit a rough patch by dropping three out of their last four to drop to 5-4 on the season.
Hosting Johnsonburg, the second match of a four match homestand, the Lady Tide were swept 14-25, 20-25, 14-25.
There wasn’t too much that filled up the stat sheet for the hosts as Madison Peterman led in services points 11 and 9 assists, Savannah Strickland had 5 service points and 6 kills, and Hannah Bressler led with 22 digs.
After the big win on Monday night over rival Mo Valley, head coach Sand Bailor hinted that her squad may have suffered a bit of a letdown, “What we did right against Mo Valley on Monday night, we did not tonight. We missed serves, struggled with passing and had a lack of aggressiveness. We need to start playing with consistency now. We can’t be an up and down team if we want to be competitive.”
The Lady Tide only have one day to get ready for another match, as DuBois invades Patton Hall on Thursday night. The Lady Beavers defeated Curwensville three games to one on opening night this year.
The junior varsity did pick up the win against the Lady Rams, two games to zero.
