RIDGWAY — The Curwensville Lady Tide volleyball team finally ended it’s four game road trip, but not in a good way.
They were swept by an undefeated Ridgway Lady Elker squad 12-25, 16-25, 13-25 to drop to 4-3 on the season.
Head coach Sandy Bailor was ready for her team to play at home next week, “We couldnt get anything started tonight, Ridgway out played us in all aspects of the game. We need to regroup tomorrow (Friday) at practce and get ready for a tough three game week next week; at least we are finally going to be playing on our home court for the week. I am hoping that will help us get back on the winning track.”
Stat leaders for the Lady Tide were Hannah Bressler with 24 digs, Savannah Strickland with 4 kills and 6 service points, and Madison Peterman who had 7 service points, 3 kills, and 13 assists.
The junior vasity team was also beaten 2-1 by the scores of 23-25, 25-23, 16-18 to drop to 2-5 for the year.
As mentioned, the Lady Tide will host three games at Patton Hall next week, with the first opponenet being local rival Mo Valley on Monday.
