CLEARFIELD — The Clearfield volleyball team picked up their second win in a row when they beat Mountain League foe Mifflin County at the Arthur J. Weiss Gymnasium on Thursday night.
The Lady Bisosn beat the Lady Huskies 25-13, 25-16, 16-25, 18-25, and 15-3 to run their season record to 3-5.
Head coach Sarah Fye was obviously excited about the big win, “”It feels great to beat a AAAA school. The team has been working so hard and for them to get their second win in a row; I couldn’t be more proud of all their hard work and effort.”
Stat leaders for the Lady Bisons:
Amber Claycomb: ten service points and sixteen assists. Dakota Farmery: twelve kills and four blocks. Jordan Puit: eighteen service
points and nine digs. Krystal Wriglesworth nine kills. Marissa McKendrick nine digs.
Fye pointed out some great individual efforts as well, “Jordan Puit stepped up big time and collected eleven service points in the final set. Marissa McKendrick was all over the floor with great hustle and Dakota Farmery did a great job at the net.”
The junior varsity team also picked up a win by sweeping Mifflin County 26-24 and 25-22.

Clearfield travels to Penns Valley on Monday nightr, then hosts four matches in the coming weeks.
