OKTOFURFEST DONATION – Kevin Beardsley, center, and Brock Shaffer, left, of the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home in Clearfield and Curwensville, recently presented their donation to Oktofurfest, the Clearfield County SPCA’s microbrew beer tasting festival, to event organizer Beth Hallstrom. The fundraiser is set for Oct. 22 at Florian Hall on Mill Road, Clearfield, with two tastings, 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Among the items the Beardsley donation paid for is the designated driver wristbands. Tickets are $15 per person and available at Waggin’ Trains, Jack’s Distributing, Gray Engine Service, Tan Zone, Drayer Physical Therapy, Thompson and Buck, Buster’s and Ethan’s Cafe, all in Clearfield; Goodman’s Foodliner in Curwensville; D&G Groceries in Mahaffey; the SPCA shelter and Factory Carpet Outlet, both in Philipsburg; Leyo’s in Coalport; L.C. Jordan’s in Frenchville; Fezell’s Shop and Save in DuBois; Moshannon Valley Floral and Gift Shoppe in Houtzdale; and Mountain View Market Place in Kylertown.
