Clearfield LL 11-and-12 All-Stars Play D-5 Northern Tier Opener Saturday

CLEARFIELD – The District 5 Northern Tier Tournament trail starts Saturday for the Clearfield Little League 11-and-12 All-Stars with a trip to Stormstown to play Tri-County.

Other first-round games send Milesburg to Curwensville and Four-Leaf Clover to Philipsburg-Osceola.

Mountain Top received a bye into Monday’s winner’s bracket semifinals.

Win or lose, Clearfield will go on the road again Monday to play either Curwensville or Milesburg.

All games in the double-elimination tourney will start at 6 p.m.

The Southern Tier contenders are Bellefonte, Big Valley, Marion Walker, Mifflin County, Penns Valley, Pleasant Gap, State College American and State College National.

July 8, 9 and, if necessary, 10 are the dates for the District 5 finals between the tier champions.
