Clearfield Tennis Team Drops Match Against Juniata, Tuesday’s Match Postponed

JUNIATA — The Clearfield Area High School boy’s tennis team made the long  journey to Juniata an unsuccessful one as they were beaten 6-1 to fall to 1-10 on the season.

Picking up the lone win for the Bisons was number five singles player Jordan McAllister, who beat Sam Horning 8-4 in a pro set match.

The Bisons were scheduled to travel to Brockway on Tuesday, but that match has been rescheduled for May 11.

Singles Results:

1. Ian Bookhamer (Clfd) lost to Taryn Stouffer (J) in pro set match due to rain and slippery courts 5-8.
2. Ryan Bower (Clfd) lost to Jake Alexander (J) in  straight sets 3-6, 1-6.
3. Kunal Patel (Clfd) lost to Nick Turner (J) in straight sets 3-6, 2-6.
4. Cory Maines (Clfd) lost to Nichole Krabill (J) in straight sets 6-7 (7-9), 2-6.
5. Jordan McAllister (Clfd) beat Sam Horning (J) in a proset match 8-4. 

Doubles Results:

1. Ryan Butler and Vince Owens (Clfd) lost to Jonathan Hershey and Luis Paecheco (J) in a pro set match 2-8.
2. Garrett Timko and Ben Panebianco lost (Clfd) lost to Lauren Baublitz and Brad Litka (J) in a pro set match 4-8.
