2011 Dog Hollow Speedway Opener Halted by Rain Again

STRONGSTOWN, PA – The 2011 season was supposed to open Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway, but for the second week in a row, track owner Jim Michny threw in the towel due to the weather forecast and it turned out to be the best decision he could have made, as heavy rains throughout the day and night soaked everything around.

The season will hopefully get underway this Friday, May 6, 2011 with the Townsend Gas and Oil Super Late Models, Stoystown Fastrak Late Models, Hooseir Tire Mid Atlantic Street Stocks, Brush Valley Tire Pure Stocks and Four Cylinder sidewinders and Modified Four Cylinders.
Forshey’s Garage will sponsor the action with gates opening at 5:30 for competitors, 6 p.m. for spectators and racing taking the green at 7:30 p.m. For more details go to the web at www.dog-hollow.net.
