Dog Hollow Speedway Opener Rained Out

STRONGSTOWN, PA – The 2011 season was supposed to open Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway, but track owner Jim Michny threw in the towel by 7:30 a.m. due to the weather forecast and it turned out to be the best decision he could have made as heavy rains throughout the day and night soaked everything around.

The season will hopefully get underway this Friday with the Townsend Gas and Oil Super Late Models, Stoystown Fastrak Late Models, Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Street Stocks, Brush Valley Tire Pure Stocks and Four Cylinder sidewinders and Modified Four Cylinders.
Kids bike races are also on tap.

Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic will sponsor the action with gates opening at 5:30 for competitors, 6 p.m. for spectators and racing taking the green at 7:30 p.m. For more details go to the web at www.dog-hollow.net.
