TYRONE — On Friday afternoon the Clearfield Bison boy’s tennis team was beaten 6-1 by Tyrone in Mountain League play. With the loss, the Bisons drop to 1-5 on the season overall and 1-4 in league play.
Picking up Clearfield’s lone win was Ryan Bower, who beat Ben Hample in straight sets 6-1,6-1 in number three singles.
Cory Maines and Jordan McAllister extended their singles matches to three sets, but fell short 4-6 and 2-6 respectively.
The road warrior Bisons will head north to Bradford to face the Owls on Monday in non-league action.
