Hyde Wesleyan Church to Present Easter Drama “Bow the Knee”

CLEARFIELD – For the second year, Hyde Wesleyan Church will present the Easter drama, “Bow the Knee,” by Chris Machen and Richard Kingsmore.  Three performances are scheduled for Palm Sunday weekend: April 15 and 16 at 7:00 p.m. and April 17 at 10:30 a.m.

Director Sarah Mitchell, the actors and choir have been practicing since September to hone the production. This powerful drama depicts the life of Christ and His crucifixion and culminates in His dramatic and joyful resurrection.

The story is based on the life of Anthony, a Roman centurion, portrayed by Steve Pearcy.  After watching Jesus perform miracles, enter Jerusalem triumphantly and die on the cross, Anthony realizes only Jesus can bring him the peace he is searching for.  “Truly this was the son of God.” Matthew 27:54 (KJV)
