Monster Truck Show to Roll into Bryce Jordan Center in April

UNIVERSITY PARK – The E3 Spark Plugs Monster Truck Nationals will be bringing seven monster trucks and a team of motorcycle stunt riders to the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State’s University Park campus. The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on April 1 and 2.

The show will provide an up-close and personal monster truck experience. Tickets are as low $12 for kids 12 and under; adult tickets are priced at $19.50. A limited number of $14 tickets are available for Penn State students with valid ID. Family four-packs also are available for $14 with a minimum of one adult. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Feb. 11, and can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Theatre Downtown, Altoona Campus Ticket Outlet, by phone at 814-865-5555, or online at www.bjc.psu.edu or www.ticketmaster.com.

The monster trucks, each weighing in at more than 10,000 pounds, will compete in side-by-side drags, wheelie competition, and in axle-wrenching freestyles. Featured trucks include “The Original Monster Truck” E3 BIGFOOT, Star Marshal, Lucas Oil Stabilizer, Ironman, Diesel RX Airdog, Crushtation and Chalkboard Chuck, the one-of-a-kind truck fans can write on with chalk. In addition to the monster trucks, the Freestyle Insanity Moto X Team will feature FMX motorcycle stunt riders soaring up to 50 feet in the air from take-off ramps while performing daring stunts including the coffin, cliffhanger, double grab, whip and back-flips.

Two hours prior to the performance, there will be a driver autograph session for anyone who has a ticket. Drivers will meet the fans and pose for photos with their monster trucks.
