HUNTINGDON — The Clearfield Lady Bisons had two days to prepare for Friday’s game against the Lady Bearcats of Huntingdon due to the postponement of their game on Wednesday against Juniata. Still riding momentum from their victory on Tuesday night, Clearfield came in ready for the challenge.
It was a game that saw 144 points get put on the scoreboard, but in the end it was Huntingdon that finished the night on the good end as they defeated Clearfield by a final of 84-60.
This game was all about the outside shooting as the Lady Bearcats were 16 of 30 from three-point range. Casey Baird led all scoring with 22 points. Alix Sellers ended the night with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds while adding eight assists. Both Tara Smith and Cheyanne Snyder added 14 points a piece.
Clearfield was led in scoring by Rachel Thompson, who had 18 points. Brianna Peters and Lisa Ambuski also went into double-digits as they scored 17 and 14 points, respectively.
Clearfield (2-11) continues it’s stretch of road games as they play at Central on Monday night.
