The Last Word

Jay: “A lot of toss-up pro games this week. Jets look awful right now – which in the NFL means they’ll probably win this week, but I didn’t pick them. I think the Saints are getting ready for a run again. I would not want to be at the Bears-Vikes game this weekend…too cold. Will not pick against the Pats the rest of the way. I like to watch college football better than the pros (especially since my fantasy season is over!), so bring on the bowls!”

Chris: “Despite the offensive woes, Steelers should keep on rolling toward the playoffs provided one of the Jets’ coaches doesn’t trip anyone. But the road to the Super Bowl will go through New England as Pats will inch closer to home field throughout the playoffs.”

Dustin: “The best game this week is the Jaguars-Colts for the top spot in the AFC South.  This game could for sure put the Colts out of the playoff picture for the first time in years, something Peyton Manning is not used to.  Then again, the Jaguars have been the top team this year in that division. Garrard vs. Manning, should be a classic.”

Rusty: “I’m looking for Boise St. to win and continue to befuddle the BCS for another year – the Bears will dominate the Vikings, especially now that the game is outdoors – Even though the Patriots have clinched, it’s too early to sideline the starters completely, and Rodgers’ bell is still ringing from last week. Finally, Peyton’s defense will find a way to knock off the Jags.  Maybe the guys will let me cover the favorable spreads this week to get back in the race – guys?”

Dave: “Eagles-Giants is the game of the week, and I think the Eagles will win a close one – the Giants’ WRs are too banged up.  I’m surprised that we all like both the Steelers and Saints to win, both of those games should be very close. I still believe that 7-9 wins the pathetic NFC West. Pats are in a class by themselves (unfortunately).”
