The Last Word

Jay: “I think both local high schools make it to the final eight in the state. Don’t think I’ve ever picked a “Backyard Brawl” right…I think my reign in first place in the Gant Challenge could come to an end if the pigskin doesn’t take some unusual bounces this week.”

Chris: ”Clearfield and Curwensville’s storybook seasons continue. It’s a good thing that Saturday’s game will not be JoePa’s last at Beaver Stadium because the Nittany Lions will lose to the Spartans. Steelers should handle the Bills, but you never know what the zebras will do!”

Rusty: “Should be a great week of rivalries – PSU won the Blood Drive, but MSU will get the game.  Pitt better be fired up for WVU and the Bills have been playing better… sorry, I couldn’t keep a straight face even when typing that.”
Dustin: “Yes, I am picking the top-10 upset this week in Penn State defeating Michigan State at home.  It’s Senior Day, and Penn State has not lost a Senior Day game in six years.  They have the advantage of a home crowd, and are looking to end the year with eight wins before wondering which bowl game they’ll play for.”

Dave: “Clearfield continues to impress, and after dominating Johnstown there’s no way I’m going against them this week – this might be the most complete Bison team ever! I can’t see the Lions beating Sparty when they cannot stop lowly Indiana’s offense, and these rivalry games are fertile ground for upsets.”
