CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield fall ball team boosted its record to 12-2 by bouncing Brookville 9-5 on the road Sunday after eking out a pair of 4-3 wins over Mifflin County at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field Saturday.
Jarrett Fulmer paced Clearfield’s weekend sweep by collecting seven hits and five runs batted and picking up the second-game win over Mifflin County, striking out seven.
Trevor Flanagan and Ronny Ogden notched the other victories.
Flanagan struck out nine in Game 1 against Mifflin County, while Ogden benefited from a seven-run outburst in the second inning at Brookville.
Flanagan doubled twice and Fulmer had two hits and two RBIs in Saturday’s opener, which Clearfield pulled out with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Justyn Knepp’s sacrifice fly plated Kyler Kephart to end the second game in the sixth inning.
Fulmer and Tyler Jacobson each had two hits, with the latter knocking in two runs.
Against Brookville, Fulmer’s three singles and three RBIs and Levi Picard’s double and two RBIs led an eight-hit attack.
Brodi Lowmaster struck out 10 in four innings of relief for Brookville.
Field conditions prevented the teams from playing a second game.
Clearfield will welcome State College to the LTRP Field Sunday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
