BROCKWAY’S BUGANZA; ECC’S PEARSALL NAMED CO-RRR ROADHOUSE D9SPORTS.COM FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR WEEK THREE 2010
14 Players named to RRR Roadhouse District 9 Honor Roll
SHIPPENVILLE – Brockway’s Derek Buganza and Elk County Catholic’s Ricky Pearsall are the Co-RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Football Players of the Week for Week Three of the 2010 season.
Buganza had a record-breaking performance in the Rovers 50-36 win over Smethport Friday night throwing for a District 9-record eight touchdowns while completing 16 of 23 passes for 401 yards. The eight-scoring tosses also gave him 79 for his career, which ties Clearfield’s Chad Kroell for the District 9 record.
Pearsall, meanwhile, carried the ball 26 times for 168 yards and four touchdowns. Three of his scores came in the final 8:51 of regulation to rally ECC from a 21-7 deficit and gave the Crusaders a 26-21 victory at Coudersport. Pearsall scored the game-winning touchdown on an 8-yard run with 1:22 left to play.
In addition to Buganza and Pearsall, 14 additional players are being honored on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Honor Roll.
