Clearfield Sweeps Bellefonte in Fall Ball

CLEARFIELD – Trevor Flanagan and Ronny Ogden silenced Bellefonte batters and were backed by solid defense as once-beaten Clearfield swept the visitors 3-1 and 2-1 in fall baseball at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field Sunday afternoon.

Both Clearfield pitchers went the distance, Flanagan twirling a one-hitter with seven strikeouts in the opener and Ogden fashioning a three-hitter with nine strikeouts in the nightcap.

Jarrett Fulmer and Ogden had two singles apiece and Tyler Jacobson doubled for Clearfield (8-1) in the first game.

Then, Ogden outdueled Zack Moerschbacher, who gave up only two hits and struck out 12.

Wyatt Westen and Flanagan singled and Fulmer scored both runs for Clearfield.
