BROCKWAY’S MIKE VERVOORT NAMED RRR ROADHOUSE D9SPORTS.COM FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR WEEK TWO 2010

15 Players named to RRR Roadhouse District 9 Honor Roll

SHIPPENVILLE – Brockway’s Mike Vervoort would normally be seen as a high-flying Navy fighter pilot thanks to his record-setting pass catching abilities, but Saturday afternoon Vervoort became more like a ground-pounding Marine and that is the reason he is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Football Player of the Week for Week Two of the 2010 season.

With the Rovers backfield beset by injuries, Vervoort, a senior, stepped in and ran 14 times for 193 yards and three touchdowns while also catching three passes for 44 yards in Brockway’s high-scoring 49-34 win at Port Allegany.

Vervoort wasn’t the only outstanding performance in District 9 during the week, and 15 additional players, including his Brockway teammates Derek Buganza and Kyle Braun, are being honored on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Honor Roll.

The RRR Roadhouse, located in the Clarion Mall, is in its fourth year of being the sponsor of the Player of the Week award. More information on the RRR Roadhouse, which also provides catering services for any occasion, can be found at www.rrrroadhouse.com or by calling them at 814-227-2000.
