CLEARFIELD – Clearfield will be at home against Mountain Top while Curwensville will travel to play Philipsburg-Osceola Sunday in the first round of the Pennsylvania Little League District 5 Northern Tier 9-and-10-Year-Old Tournament.
The other opener sends Tri-County to Milesburg.
Four-Leaf Clover drew the bye into the winner’s bracket semifinals, where it will host the Mountain Top-Clearfield winner on Monday.
The Curwensville-P-O winner goes on the road for its semifinal.
All games in the double-elimination tourney will start at 6 p.m.
The champion will play the Southern Tier winner in a best-of-three series July 9, 10 and 11. If one or both tier titlists have a loss, the district finals will begin July 10.
District 5’s champ moves on to the Section 4 Tournament July 14-18 at Johnstown, with the West Suburban Little League the host team.
