CARNWATH – Work to replace a bridge on state Route 3007 in the village of Carnwath will begin on June 14. At that time, the bridge will be closed and a detour will be in place. The detour will direct motorists to use SRs 2015 to Boardman, SR 453 and SR 2012.
Crews will be working to replace the current one-lane bridge with a new, two-lane, concrete box beam bridge. The bridge spans Potts Run in the village of Carnwath, Knox Township, Clearfield County.
Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion is the contractor on this $682,000 project. PennDOT expects the new bridge to open to traffic in early September.
PennDOT advises drivers to obey posted speed limits, follow detour signs and remain alert, patient and cautious through work zones and detours. For more information on roadway construction and maintenance operations, visit PennDOT’s Web site.
PennDOT also reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
