- A burglary that occurred at an out building of a residence located on Wilcox Road. is currently being investigated. A man told police that someone entered a shed on the property and took a red and white Honda GX390 13 horsepower motor valued at $650. The person then entered a storage area by the owner’s garage by unscrewing the door locking clasp. He said he did not believe anything to have been taken from that storage area. The motor was later found but was severely damaged and unusable. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 776-6136, reference incident number C06-1023596.
- Police reported an incident of theft and forgery that occurred on Camp Kaelber Road in Ridgway Borough. A woman told police that someone took a blank check from her checkbook and then used it to purchase $15 worth of gas at Sheetz in Ridgway. The person will be charged with forgery, theft by unlawful taking, and theft by deception.
- Charges are pending against a 51-year-old Weedville man after he failed to stop for a markedpolie car with emergency lights and sirens activated while he was driving an ATV. He was taken into custody along Mt. Zion Road after a short pursuit and the ATV developed mechanical problems. He refused a blood alchol test at Elk Regional Health Center.
