STATE COLLEGE – Guidelines and application information is now available for non-profit organizations and individuals who wish to apply for support to fund an arts project with a public component during 2010-2011. Through the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) Program, the PA Council on the Arts is making available opportunities through “Project Stream” grants. Funds ARE available for next year. These grants can support community arts projects which take place between Sept. 1, 2010 and Aug. 31, 2011. Application deadline is June 18, 2010.
Galaxy, the Arts in Education Program of Central Intermediate Unit # 10, which will be administrating this program for projects taking place in Centre, Clearfield and Huntingdon counties, will be holding several arts workshops across the region. The workshops are free and open to the public. The application process and guidelines will be discussed and ideas can be shared.
A workshop in Clearfield County will be held on May 25 beginning at 12:00 noon at the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST), 112 E. Locust St. Other workshops will be on Thursday, May 27 at 12:00 noon at the Huntingdon County Historical Society and on June 1 at 12:15 p.m. at Schlow Library in State College. Attendees may bring a bagged lunch.
