CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough Police Department is notifying drivers of construction beginning at the intersection of North Second Street and East Locust Street.
Construction of the new YMCA will begin this week and this area may become congested due to the fencing being placed at the site for safety. Pedestrian traffic has been altered and people crossing Second Street may increase due to the new pedestrian route. Police are requesting motorists to drive slower and to use caution in this area as traffic will become congested and slightly impaired. Police also want to remind pedestrians not to walk along the fence as this will place them onto the street and into the right of way for motorists.
