HYDE – Thursday afternoon’s thunderstorms left the Bison Sports Complex diamond unplayable for Friday’s baseball game between the Clearfield and Altoona schoolboy teams.
No make-up date was set for the Central Penn League contest, according to Clearfield Area High School athletic director Jon Mikesell.
Coach Sid Lansberry’s 1-1 Bisons, who last played March 31, face a tough slate next week with home CPL and District 9 Northern Allegany League Big School Division games against DuBois (1-1) Monday and Punxsutawney (1-0) Wednesday and at least two games in the Dean Patterson Curve Classic at the Blair County Ballpark on the weekend.
They will test Hollidaysburg (2-0) in their tourney opener at 12:30 p.m. Friday and will play either Bishop Guilfoyle or Bishop Carroll on Saturday. They would have to make the finals to get an additional game Sunday.
