- A one-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80, five miles east of exit 133. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeremy A. Wilt, of Elizabethtown, lost control on an icy bridge and struck the concrete side. The truck came to a stop in the middle of the right lane. One passenger, Katelynn Trego, of Harrisburg, sustained minor injuries as a result. Police were assisted at the scene by Folmar’s Towing and the Winburne Fire Company.
- Police reported a one-vehicle accident that occurred on state Route 865 in Beccaria Township. Alfred Simmers, 43 of Coalport, was driving a 2001 Caravan, when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and struck a tree. Simmers was not cited due to the slippery road conditions. No injuries were reported.
- Police reported an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between 12 p.m. Feb. 13 and 12:40 p.m. Saturday in Houtzdale Borough, Clearfield County. A person(s) arrived at a Clara Street address and forced entry through the rear door. The person(s) then ransacked several boxes. They removed several boxes of Christmas decorations prior to fleeing the scene. The decorations were valued at $200. The incident is under investigation at this time.
- Police reported detention of illegal aliens at 8:48 a.m. Saturday in Cooper Township, Clearfield County. A 27-year-old Mexico man was encountered during a hit and run accident. He reportedly failed to provide acceptable evidence of his right to be in the United States. U.S. Border Patrol Agents were contacted. They determined he was unlawfully in the United States and took him into custody.
