CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday one Lawrence Township Supervisor praised the work of Roadmaster Bill Lawhead and his work crew for their work on the roads of Lawrence Township.
Glenn Johnston praised the road crew and asked Lawhead, who serves as supervisor chairman, if the condition of the roads could be attributed to the extra salt the road crew members are using. Lawhead said it did contribute, and that they are currently mixing their salt and anti-skid at a 50/50 ratio. He added that when their is heavy snow he calls the crew out earlier.
Supervisor Ed Brown and Lawhead also pointed to the sunshine. Brown said when the sun’s out it hit’s the ground at an angle this time of year that helps melt snow and ice.
