OSCEOLA MILLS – An Osceola Mills man was jailed after allegedly breaking into the Scotchmen’s Inn on Curtain Street in Osceola Mills.
According to the state police in Clearfield, Ray Provins Jr. forced open a door to gain entry into the building. While inside he reportedly drank soem alcohol before fleeing the scene with alcohol and cigarettes. Police said Provins gave some of the cigarettes to a friend and some of the items were located at his residence.
Provins was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and underage consumption. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland and placed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
