PSU DuBois Women\’s Basketball Coach Picks Up 300th Win

The Penn State DuBois women’s basketball Coach Pat Lewis picked up his 300th win as a head coach with a 63-60 win over Butler County Community College this past weekend.  Coach Lewis had 280 wins coaching at Cameron County High School and has now won 20 games in the new women’s program at Penn State DuBois.

 

The Lady Lions were lead by Amanda Craker’s (Sheffield) double-double as she scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  She was joined in double figures by Lauren Donovan (Oswayo Valley) with 13 points and 11 rebounds.  Whitney Lewis (Cameron County) chipped in 5 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Brittany Barrett (Curwensville)  5 points 

Heidi Hepler (Redbank Valley)  2 points 

Tessa Vargas (Sheffield)  4 points, 3 assists

Theresa Skillman (Bradford)   6 rebounds

 

 PSU DuBois’ Women’s basketball team picked up their second win of the weekend improving their record to 4-5 with a 67-40 win over Penn State Scranton.  Tessa Vargas (Sheffield) led all scorers with 21 points, followed by Amanda Cracker (Sheffield) 16 points and 13 rebounds and Heidi Hepler (Redbank Valley) 10 points.

 

The Lady Lions return to action after the holiday break when they travel to Pitt at Titusville on January 6, 2010.
